Hanno Hauenstein, born in 1986, is an independent journalist and author based in Berlin. His work has been published in outlets such as The Guardian, Haaretz, and The Intercept. Between 2020 and 2023, he was an editor and head of the culture section at the Berliner Zeitung. Prior to that, he worked for several years as a freelance correspondent in Israel-Palestine, reporting for German newspapers, at times as an IJP fellow (Internationale Journalisten-Programme).
