SherAli K. Tareen is a Patricia Crone Member (2024–25) in the School of Historical Studies at Princeton University and an expert in Muslim intellectual traditions and debates in early modern and modern South Asia. He is the author of the award-winning books “Defending Muhammad in Modernity” (2020) and “Perilous Intimacies: Debating Hindu-Muslim Friendship after Empire” (2023).
