Waleed Arafa is an Egyptian architect and founder of Dar Arafa Architecture. He studied architecture at Ain Shams University and later earned a postgraduate diploma from the School of Architecture in London. His work, particularly the award-winning Basuna Mosque, has received international recognition, reflecting his focus on reviving Egypt’s architectural heritage and exploring Islamic aesthetics to address contemporary challenges.
