Mohamed Mahdy

Mohamed Mahdy (b. 1996) is an award-winning photographer from Alexandria, Egypt. In April 2026, he was among the 42 winners of the World Press Photo contest with his project "Moon Dust". Mahdy’s work has been exhibited internationally, for example at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin and at the Altonaer Museum in Hamburg, at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, Geopolis in Belgium, Photoville in New York, and the Sharjah Art Foundation in the United Arab Emirates.
