Roger Anis graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Minya University in 2008 and earned his Master's degree from the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in the Netherlands, where his research focused on water, identity and displacement. He began his career as a photojournalist in 2010, working with Egyptian newspapers and international news agencies, including the Associated Press and Agence France-Presse. He is the artistic director and co-founder of the EverydayNile initiative, which documents communities across the Nile Basin countries.
