Mitra Hashemi is a business lawyer and executive president of the German-Afghan Friendship Society Baaham e.V. in Berlin. The association has been campaigning for the rights and participation of Afghan women since 2006 and offers legal advice and more. As a board member of the Association of Afghan Organisations in Germany (VAFO), Hashemi also has a strong nationwide network.
