Did Lebanon's October 17 revolution accomplish anything?

On 17 October 2019, groups of Lebanese citizens – many from economically disadvantaged backgrounds – took to the streets of Beirut and other cities to demonstrate against the state of the economy and the corruption of the ruling political class. One year on from the start of the uprising, the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies asked social scientists with leading or active roles in the uprising to take stock of the revolution and consider the path ahead.
