Human Rights Watch: Egypt's new approach to fighting dissidents

Over the past year, Egypt's authorities have increasingly resorted to anti-terror and emergency laws as a means of crushing peaceful opposition to the government. Journalists and human rights activists continued to be persecuted, Human Rights Watch said in its latest World Report 2019.
