One of the world's oldest Koran manuscripts discovered in Birmingham

In a hugely exciting discovery, academics at the University of Birmingham, England, have discovered what may be the world's oldest fragments of the Koran in the university's archives. Scientists using radiocarbon analysis dated the fragments to between 568 and 645 AD, placing them among the oldest pages of a Koran in the world. Click here for a BBC report on this unique find.
